Peter McElwain Elementary is now open and offers a brand-new, state-of-the-art building within walking distance of many of the homes in Elyson. The school's layout has multiple tech-forward spaces that encourage group learning and sharing information—along with places that foster fun, both indoors and out. Kids will love climbing on the rock wall. Using the outdoor courtyard to create art or build friendships. And supporting their STEM side, with a science lab, computer lab and so much more. As new principal Euberta Lucas says, "we want to encourage students to pursue their personal passions, alongside academics."
Students living south of FM 529 will attend McElwain Elementary, and those north of FM 529 will go to David & Terri Youngblood Elementary.
