Chesmar opens 4 Courtyard Collection model homes near new park

After selling out the first neighborhood of their enormously popular Courtyard Collection series, Chesmar has opened four new model homes showcasing brand-new plans and updated versions of bestselling plans.

Located near Union Park, a colorful new amenity that can be viewed from many homesites, the Courtyard Collection models offer a new idea that has appealed to buyers ranging from first-time homebuyers to empty-nesters. Many buyers have also been families with children who value Elyson’s location in the highly regarded Katy Independent School District.

Priced from the low $300Ks, plans in the Courtyard Collection are traditional single-family homes arranged in cul-de-sacs of four, creating an intimate neighborhood feeling on each cul-de-sac. Backyards provide space and privacy with a low maintenance footprint.

Here’s a look at each of the four new Courtyard Collection model homes in Elyson, located in one beautifully landscaped cul-de-sac for convenient one-stop touring.

Brand-new Dillon

The first model home in the cul-de-sac, the brand-new Dillon, is also Chesmar’s sales center, where visitors can meet sales consultant Jillian Lane and other Chesmar representatives.

With its inviting front porch and attractive side-entry garage, the Dillon shows the great attention to detail that Chesmar has given to this collection. The exterior blends brick and complementary colors of wood siding with details such as metal roof accents and window overhangs.

Inside, this four-bedroom home begins with an open family room, kitchen and dining area, opening to a covered patio. A modern horizontal electric fireplace provides a focal point for this open family gathering area, and it’s one of the few upgrades displayed in all four models.

“Apart from a few available upgrades, such as the fireplace in the Dillon and the understairs pocket office in the Rosewood, our models are very representative of what’s included in the base price,” said Jillian.

The four bedrooms are upstairs, including a spacious primary suite with a raised ceiling and two walk-in closets.

The Dillon also offers a gameroom, and buyers have the option of building the fourth bedroom as a study.

Upside down in the Springfield

Each Courtyard Collection model offers a slightly different vision for living, which is probably why the series has appealed to so many different homebuyers.

The Springfield is an “upside down” plan, with two bedrooms on the first floor, and the primary bedroom and main living areas on the second floor.

This layout appeals to buyers who like the more “urban feeling” of having the living space on the second floor, Jillian said.

One downstairs bedroom is displayed as an exercise room, offering the homebuyer an option to work out at home, in addition to Elyson’s fitness facilities at Elyson House and Lakeside Landing.

This light-filled room opens to a covered patio, one of three outdoor living spaces in the Springfield.

On the second floor, the Springfield offers one of the broadest expanses of windows we’ve ever seen.

“In this second generation of the Courtyard Collection, our architects have added even more windows to most of the plans, letting in an abundance of natural light,” Jillian said.

The second floor combines the family room, casual dining area and kitchen. A study nook is located between the covered balcony and the spacious primary suite.

Step up to the Oakdale

Raised several feet from the ground, with steps leading up to the front porch, the Oakdale evokes the feel of historic homes in the Houston Heights and other neighborhoods. The raised foundation also enhances views on both floors.

On the first floor, the Oakdale has two bedrooms with walk-in closets, and a study nook that opens to a covered patio.

A window-filled family, dining and kitchen area fills the second floor. A private hallway leads to the primary bedroom suite, showcasing one of the largest main bedrooms in the Courtyard Collection series.

A covered balcony offers a second outdoor living area.

The all-new Rosewood

The Rosewood has the most traditional feel of the four Courtyard Collection models.

The family room, casual dining area and kitchen are on the main floor, with a door opening to a large covered patio. In a very clever use of space, an optional pocket office is tucked under the stairs.

All four bedrooms are upstairs, including a spacious primary bedroom suite. The second floor also has a flex space that can be used as a gameroom, media room or home office.

Views of Union Park

Some available homesites border on one of Elyson’s newest amenities, Union Park, while other homesites offer full or partial views of this new green space.

This centrally located neighborhood park invites residents to walk over and gather around one of the firepits, play a game of table tennis, or grill and have a picnic under a shaded trellis.

Connected to Elyson’s overall trail system, Union Park also has benches and open-air seating areas. It’s beautifully landscaped with roses, native grasses, and trees including oaks and pines.

Elyson has many more amenities for all residents to enjoy, including Elyson House and Lakeside Landing, two major community centers with pools, clubhouses, fitness facilities and much more. Elyson Commons at Bear Creek has 145 acres of nature and recreation, including a wildflower loop trail. Elyson Courts has courts for tennis and pickleball, and Elyson will have more than 30 miles of trail in all when completed.

Elyson has a total of 21 model homes, with most located in the new Model Home Village, where visitors can stop by the Welcome Center and also get a tour of Lakeside Landing.
