Westin’s new Elyson model home combines great design with affordability
Step into Westin Homes’ new Haven model home in Elyson and you might never guess you are standing in a new home priced from the mid $200,000s.
Now open in Elyson’s Model Home Village, the Haven shows how some of today’s most affordable homes offer many of the great design features you might expect to find only in much more expensive homes.
Stunning foyers with curved staircases and detailed ceiling that soar up to 20 feet have always been a signature feature of Westin’s home. In fact, you can see such a foyer in Westin’s Preston III model home in Elyson, priced from the high $300,000s.
While some of the features and finishes displayed in the Haven model home are optional, standout features such as the curved staircase, covered patio and the oversized table island in the kitchen are included at no extra cost.
The Haven makes a strong first impression from the curb, with its stone and brick exterior, its two-story front porch with cutout “windows,” and its classic gabled roofline.
The spiral staircase has wrought iron spindles and stained wood handrails. Above, pendant lighting draws the eye to the double-recessed oval ceiling detail. Combining beauty with practically, the staircase hides a large storage area underneath.
The family room has a cathedral ceiling with optional stained wood beams. The entire back wall is filled with floor-to-ceiling windows that flood this open interior with light. The island kitchen is fresh and modern, with a handcrafted tile backsplash and farmhouse sink. The crisp white colors of the tile and solid-surface countertops are a perfect complement to the gray painted cabinets.
