Tour 2 new Highland model homes in Elyson
Elyson is celebrating many new things, including nine new model homes just opened or coming soon.
Two of the newest arrivals in our Model Home Village are beautifully decorated model homes by Highland Homes, showcasing plans available in two price ranges – from the high $200,000s, and from the high $300,000s.
Here’s a little about each model, but by far, the best way to experience these fully furnished model homes is to visit in person, starting with a stop by our friendly Welcome Center and Elyson Café, both located in Elyson House.
From the high $200,000s
Highland’s two-story Plan 556 model home represents Highland plans offered on 55-foot-wide homesites, in a neighborhood adjacent to a new Katy ISD elementary school opening in August 2020 in Elyson. A limited number of greenbelt homesites are available.
Like most Highland Homes designs offered in Elyson, Plan 556 is architecturally engineered to be flexible.
With 2,786 square feet, the base plan has four bedrooms, three full baths and a study. Living areas include a two-story family room and an upstairs gameroom. An outdoor living area is also part of this home.
Plan 556 was designed from the ground up to have oversized bedrooms with walk-in closets. The downstairs primary bedroom suite includes a lengthy dual vanity with knee space, and a guest suite with a full bath is also on the main floor.
At the center of this open floor plan is a spacious formal dining room, open to both the family room and the gourmet kitchen.
Plan 556 can be customized in several ways, such as extending the primary bedroom suite and enlarging the outdoor living area.
An additional downstairs bedroom can be added in lieu of the study, making this a five-bedroom home. The two-car garage can be expanded to accommodate 2.5 or three cars. Upstairs, an entertainment room can be added adjacent to the gameroom.
From the high $300,000s
Highland’s Plan 216 model home is an open, single-story model home with high ceilings and a kitchen island that’s so large, it’s more like a continent.
This model home represents Highland plans available on 65-foot-wide homesites in an Elyson neighborhood with lake and greenbelt views. Like all Elyson neighborhoods, it is connected to the community’s trail system, which will ultimately extend for nearly 30 miles, and it is a short distance from Elyson House.
With 2,980 square feet, Plan 216 highlights some creative ideas in home design, such as sliding barn doors leading to the entertainment room. The luxurious primary bathroom oasis is also tucked behind sliding doors. The main primary suite has a shiplap accent wall with a bay window sitting area with a vaulted ceiling.
This four-bedroom home includes a study, a covered outdoor living area, and a double-door entry leading to an elegant extended foyer. The family room, dining room, kitchen and keeping room are all combined to create one large informal living area.
This home has plenty of storage, with extra storage space in the three-car garage, a mudroom, a storage closet and a walk-in pantry. All four bedrooms have walk-in closets, and the huge primary bedroom closet is connected to the laundry room by a convenient laundry loop.
