Katy ISD wins award for “No Texting and Driving” video
With the kids heading back to our Katy ISD schools, it’s a good time for a refresher on the important of not texting while driving.
Fortunately, Katy ISD has an award-winning video designed to promote awareness of Texas’ statewide “No Texting and Driving” law, which took effect on Sept. 1, 2017.
This 30-second video won a 2017 Risk Management Innovation Award. It was produced by the district’s risk management department, along with employees in the communications, human resources, curriculum and instruction, and police departments including Tiffany Shirey who is an English Language Arts teacher at Elyson’s own Paetow High School.
