Highland’s Plan 218 model home in Elyson happily sings the blues
Blue is the world’s most popular color, and many of its shades are on glorious display in Highland’s new Plan 218 model home in Elyson’s Model Home Village, where 14 model homes and the Elyson Welcome Center await home shoppers daily.

A worldwide survey from YouGov found that blue is the most popular color in 10 countries across four continents. With Elyson attracting so many residents from across the country and the globe, every home shopper will feel at home in this stunning model home.
Blue is well known for encouraging feelings of calmness and relaxation, and you can feel this effect in Plan 218’s luxurious primary bedroom suite. Highland uses a cool sophisticated blue, Smoky Azurite, as the ceiling color. The blue also extends down to the walls, meeting the crisp white wainscoting just above the door and window frames.
The blue theme continues in the primary suite’s furnishings and accessories, and the bathroom’s wood-look tile floor also has hints of blue. The walk-in closet is painted in a complementary shade of blue, Favorite Jeans. Who says closets need to be white?
The gourmet kitchen is another area where blue is used unexpectedly but beautifully. The upper cabinets, appliance surrounds and doors are painted in a gentle blue called Faded Flax Flower, complemented by the rugs, artwork, furnishings and other details in the adjoining family room and dining areas.
This gorgeous Highland model shows several creative ways to use paint, no matter what the color. The entertainment room is painted all over in Smoky Azurite, from the walls to the ceiling, creating a very cozy look for this casual living space.
